2017
kicked
off with Lucifer's Friend playing some shows in Germany, |
|
which we
always enjoy very much. |
|

|
This was
followed by a solo stint in Bulgaria with Bulgarian band BTR |
|
***** |
|
May
saw the continuation of the filming for the Bulgarian TV documentary series |
|
"John
Lawton presents..." which took place in
Kazanlak this time , |
|
where
world famous rose oil is produced. |
|

|
One of my
highlights was no doubt catching up with |
|
Bulgarian
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov at the Houses of Parliament
in Sofia. |
|
The time
before that, I had met him when he was still Mayor of Sofia...;-) |
|

|
After
Lucifer's Friend had played Sweden Rock 2017 this year, I was
invited to |
|
do a guest appearance
with the Sweden Rock Symphony Orchestra, |
|
performing
newly arranged hard rock and metal classics. |
|
What a
great show that was.. |
|
Other
guests included Joe Lynn Turner, Peter Tagtgren, Joacim Cans & Dan
McCafferty |
|

The
traditional "July Morning" concert on the 1st
of July at sunrise, |
|
was
held
in Tutrakan , Bulgaria again this year . |
|
This was the
11 th year that I have been
participating! |
|
The sunrise was as
spectacular as
ever, overlooking the
Danube,
|
|
attended by
an
incredible Tutrakan audience!! |
|
As every
year , the whole show was televised live, by Bulgarian national
TV . |
|

While
the 1.
July evening concert was held in Troyan, Bulgaria this
year... |
|
a very hot summers
rock night event..;-) |
|

|
Lucifer's Friend
continued playing Festivals all during the summer of 2017, with a |
|
tour of
Poland in autumn 2017, marking the very first LF concerts in Poland ever.. |
|
***** |
|
The writing for
the new Lucifer's Friend studio album "The Last Stand" continued |
|
during 2017,
followed
by the recording of the album in the UK and Germany. |
|
The
release of the new album is scheduled for May / June 2018..;-)) |
|
